Florida bugs don't take the winter off
Up north, people get a break from bugs when it gets cold. Down here the bugs slow down for a few weeks in January and then pick up right where they left off. Summer heat and afternoon storms push ants and roaches indoors looking for dry ground, and the sandy yards around Tequesta and Jupiter give fire ants all the room they want.
That's why household pest control here isn't a one-time spray. It's steady protection for the house, the yard, and everything in between. Frontline Pest Control has been doing exactly that for local families for over 20 years. Some people call us the exterminator. We'll answer to that too.
Looking for an exterminator in Tequesta or Jupiter?
Some people search for an exterminator when they spot roaches in the kitchen or a fire ant mound next to the pool. Other people search for pest control. It's the same job and the same phone call. You want the bugs gone, and you want them to stay gone.
Here's what you get when you call Frontline:
- A certified crew. We're dually certified in General Household Pest Control and Lawn & Ornamental care, so we can treat the house and the yard.
- Someone close by. Our home base is 244 Country Club Drive in Tequesta, and we cover the towns from Palm Beach Gardens up to Hobe Sound.
- Straight answers. Our techs tell you what they're treating and why before they leave.
- Help between visits. Customers tell us that when something pops up between visits, we come back out quickly.
Find your town: Tequesta, Jupiter, Jupiter Inlet Colony, Jupiter Island, Hobe Sound, Juno Beach, North Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens.
The pests we handle
- Ants, including fire ants. The tiny trail marching across the kitchen counter, the ones that show up in the bathroom after a storm, and the fire ant mounds that pop up in the lawn overnight.
- Roaches. The big ones that wander in from outside and the kind that try to move into your kitchen for good. One customer in Tequesta told us they have zero roaches, which in Florida is about as rare as a cool day in August.
- Spiders. Webs in the eaves, along the lanai screens, in the garage corners, and across the front door every morning.
- The other everyday crawlers. General household pest control covers the common bugs that come with living in South Florida. Not sure if yours is on the list? Call and ask. We'll tell you straight.
How a visit works, inside and out
Most of the work happens outside, before bugs ever reach your door. We treat around the outside of the house and the spots where pests get in, so they get stopped at the edge of the property instead of in your pantry. A few of our longtime customers just call it the perimeter home treatment, and it's the backbone of keeping a Florida house bug free.
Inside, we treat the places pests actually show up, like the kitchen, the bathrooms, and along the baseboards. Our techs take the time to explain what they're treating and why, so you're never left wondering what that guy in your house was up to. And when they come inside, they take their shoes off. It's a small thing. One customer thought it was worth mentioning in a review, and we agree.
Fire ants, the lawn problem that bites back
Fire ants love open, sunny ground, and a good rain only makes them busier rebuilding. Step on a mound by accident and you'll be reminded of it for days. Kids and dogs usually find them first, the hard way.
This is where being dually certified matters. We're certified in General Household Pest Control and in Lawn & Ornamental care, so the same company can treat the house and the lawn on one plan. You don't need one outfit for the kitchen and another for the yard. One longtime customer says he hasn't seen a fire ant pile in years.
A few things that help between visits
- Trim shrubs and vines back so they aren't touching the walls or the roof. Branches are a bridge for ants.
- Pull mulch back a few inches from the foundation.
- Fix dripping outdoor faucets and air conditioner drain lines that keep the ground wet next to the house.
- Store pet food and pantry food in sealed containers.
- Keep firewood, lumber, and yard debris off the side of the house.
None of this replaces treatment, but it makes your home a lot less inviting.
Why neighbors call the Spreitzers
Frontline Pest Control is First Responder owned and operated. Billy Spreitzer and his crew run the business with the same professionalism they brought to the frontlines, and they treat every home like it belongs to family. It shows in how long people stay. Plenty of our customers have been with us 10, 13, even 15 years, and a few go back to when it was just the Spreitzers' dad.
We're local, and we live with the same bugs you do. Our home base is right here in Tequesta.
